Leadership Profile
Daryl Kennedy is a seasoned security professional, military veteran, and instructor with more than 30 years of experience in the security industry.
Born and raised in Newtown, Connecticut, Daryl graduated from Newtown High School before earning a bachelor’s degree in Sociology with a minor in Criminal Justice from Eastern Connecticut State University. He later completed a master’s degree in Homeland Security and Emergency Management.
Daryl began working in security while attending college, providing security at local establishments near the University of Connecticut. During that same period, he also worked security for motorcycle rallies held at Marcus Dairy in Danbury, Connecticut. These early experiences helped build the foundation for a career that would eventually span a wide range of venues, environments, and responsibilities.
Daryl served in the United States Army for 16 years and was deployed to both Kosovo and Iraq. During his military service, he received multiple medals and commendations, including the Combat Infantryman Badge and the Purple Heart.
Throughout his career, Daryl has remained committed to helping others stay safe, prepared, and confident. He has provided instruction in defensive tactics and de-escalation techniques to churches, schools, security professionals, and law enforcement personnel. He has also taught self defense and prevention courses focused on sexual assault, harassment, and rape prevention.
Daryl brings a practical, calm, and experience-based approach to security. His background in military service, emergency management, instruction, and hands-on security work allows him to understand both the operational demands of the field and the importance of treating people with professionalism and respect.
